Mrs. Brenda Darlene Jenkins Adcock, age 59, of Sparta, passed away Tuesday, July 31st, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Adcock was born in Sparta on January 21, 1953, the daughter of the late Henry Hollis and Ruby Leron (Oliver) Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at Oak Lawn Funeral Home at 3pm on Thursday, August 2nd, with Steve Moore and Mike Gillock officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday 1-3pm. at Oak Lawn Funeral Home.

Surviving family members include her husband Dennis Adcock, her daughter Bethany Dawn (Tim) Krieg, two grandchildren Zackary Dean Krieg and Savannah Dawn Krieg, two sisters - Nellie (Buddy) Bumbalough, and Jackie (James) Rittenberry, two brothers - Lewis Ray (Amy) Jenkins of Putnam County and Hollis Levon Jenkins of Powder Springs, Georgia.
Many neices, nephews, and cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Prince Cotten.
