Funeral services have been set tentatively for Friday in Holman & Lutz Chapel for Lela DeYarmond Wheeler, 62, who died Wednesday at Nelscott after a long illness. Death was due to heart disease.
Mrs. Wheeler was born in Michigan and had lived in Portland for the last 34 years. She was the niece of Lon DeYarmond, former Portland newspaperman and was a member of the Centenary Methodist church.
Survivors are the widower, Dr. E. W. Wheeler; a son, Dr. W. W. Wheeler, Portland; a daughter, Mrs. M. W. Van Scoyoc, Falls Church, Va., and six grandchildren.
