Mrs. Wheeler was born in Michigan and had lived in Portland for the last 34 years. She was the niece of Lon DeYarmond, former Portland newspaperman and was a member of the Centenary Methodist church.
Survivors are the widower, Dr. E. W. Wheeler; a son, Dr. W. W. Wheeler, Portland; a daughter, Mrs. M. W. Van Scoyoc, Falls Church, Va., and six grandchildren.
