Adam Jacob Salas took his first breath on Thursday, June 7, 2012. He weighed 7lbs. 8 oz. and was 20 inches. He passed away peacefully in the arms of his mommy and daddy on Thursday, July 28, 2012.
He is the son of Henry and Marissa Salas.
Adam was born with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. He was taken care of at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. Through his treatment, he gained other complications such as liver and kidney failure.
As sad as we are to say good bye to our precious baby boy, we know he is free of his pain. Adam chose wings over feet and now we are parents of a beautiful angel.
Although his time here with us was short, he touched so many lives and will forever be remembered for his strength.
"They say that time in heaven is compared to 'the blink of an eye' for us on this earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of my child running ahead of me through a beautiful field of wildflowers and butterflies; so happy and completely caught up in what he is doing, that by the time he turns around to see if I'm behind him . . . I will be." ~ Judy Bruner
