Elias lived a great part of his life in Crawford county Indiana He Married Nancy Tillman daughter of John Boxom Tillman and Nancy Bush Born 1809 Indiana they had seven Children Nancy died 14 Mar 1844 and is buried Paoli, Orange, Indiana. Elias then Married Mary Burkhart widow of Jacob Rice 1 Oct 1849 in Crawford County. Elias and Mary had six Children all born in Indiana and all came to Texas Including Mary's daughter by Jacob Rice Sarah Catherine Rice Newkirk. They arrived in Glory, Lamar, Texas 18 Jul 1877 this according to Josiah Bryan who Married Martha Ellen Newkirk. Gordon Bryan grandson of Martha gave the following info "Elias bought a farm South of the town Glory on the Lamar and Delta County Line on the Sulphur River" and I presume he died there 6 Jun 1880 He is Listed in the 1880 census as he was alive the 1st of June. I am listing him in Oaklawn Cemetery but we don't know for sure where He is Buried.
