According to her obituaries in the Monroe Morning World and the Monroe News-Star, Nancy died as the result of a fall down the steps of the home of Jack Angell at 5215 DeSiard St [note: The parking lot of the Library Lounge is approximately where the home stood]. She was employed there as a housekeeper. She left behind a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Sower[s] of Quitman, MS and five children: Mrs. Lessie Arnold, Mrs. Annie Cruse, Earl Allbritton, Margie Allbritton and Madeline Allbritton.
