Reaper Takes Aged Woman
After a long illness, Mrs. Lavina Murphy died at her home on West Ottawa Street Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock. Mrs. Murphy was one of Richwood's oldest residents being past 84 years of age at her death. She was born April 17, 1838, her parents being Andrew and Elizabeth Stamats Spicer.
Surviving are one son, Oscar Murphy of Columbus; three brothers, Joseph and Elmer Spicer of Michigan and Jonathan Spicer of Wood County; two sisters, Mrs Elma Robertson of Ft. Wayne Indiana and Mrs. Dickerson of Nebraska; two grandchildren, Thurman Murphy of Columbus and Mrs. Nye Yarrington of West Mansfield and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the home Friday forenoon at 10 o'clock, Rev. M.M. Figley officiating. Burial will be made at Stoney Point Cemetery, S.R. Sanders, undertaker in charge.
