Harry L. Barber, 82, retired Burlington conductor, died Saturday afternoon (July, 25, 1970) at Pershing Memorial Hospital, (Brookfield, Linn, Missouri) after a long illness.
Services will be at Trinity United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Frank Jones. Burial will be in the Laclede Cemetery.
The body will be at the family home, 509 North Caldwell St., until noon Tuesday.
Mr. Barber was born near Brookfield, Aug. 27, 1887, the son of B.F. and Susanna Groes Barber. He was married to Grace Haight Sept. 6, 1916. He is survived by his wife; two sisters, Miss Nellie Barber and Mrs. Mary Duckworth, Brookfield. He was a member of the Trinity Church since 1922, and for many years a member of the official board. He retired from the railroad in 1953.
