Daniel W. Huddleston, 70, of Riverside, formerly of Ottumwa, passed away July 31, 2012, at Pioneer Park Care Center in Lone Tree.

Daniel Wray Huddleston was born on March 13, 1942, in Ottumwa, the son of Walter and Ruth Maxine(Larson)Huddleston. In October 1966, he was united in marriage to Irma Ann Padget, and they later divorced.

Daniel graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1960 and then attended U.N.I. for two years. Daniel served in the U.S.Navy during the Vietnam War.

Daniel was a system analyst for Pearson's in Iowa City. He was in a bowling league at Colonial Lanes for more then 30 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, bicycles, astronomy and attending the Sharpless Auction every Wednesday and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his daughter, Alisa Wagers of Manchester, Ken.: his two grandsons, Aragorn Hoard of London, Ken. and Garrett Hoard of Manchester, Ky.; his brothers, Dauglas(Cheryl)Huddleston of Waterloo and David"Mike"Huddleston of Dayton, Ohio; and one niece, Stephanie Huddleston of North Liberty.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Daniel will be at 10:30 am Monday at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside, Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City with full military rites. Visitation for Daniel will be from 4-7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Daniel.
