LEWISTOWN - Jacob I. Rhine, 97, a resident of Ohesson Manor, Lewistown, and formerly of McClure RR1, died at 5:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at the manor.
Born June 14, 1902, in Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Henry L. and Mary E. (Smith) Rhine.
Surviving are: two sisters, Anna G. Shirey, 538 E. Walnut St., Lewistown, and Mrs. Glen R. (Mary) Dickerson, Virginia. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He was a self-employed farmer.
He was a life-long member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Alfarata, and a charter member of Decatur Grange, Lewistown.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Avenue, Burnham, with the Rev. Clyde B. Singh officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Alfarata Lutheran Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family will provide all flowers.
