James graduated from Paschal High School. He was in the Army during the Korean War. He married Betty in 1955. He worked 40 years for Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He was called the "Cookie Man" for his Texas-sized chocolate chip cookies. Preceded in death by 1st wife, daughter, Beverly. Survived by Wife, brother and wife, sister-in-law, 2 daughters, partner and husband, stepdaughter, stepson, granddaughter, and husband, 3 great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
