She wa the wife of William T. Hooper. She was born in Carroll County, a daughter of the late Eugene and Verdie Harn Picket. Beside her husband, she is survivied by a son, Fred T. Hooper of New Windsor; two brothers, Ernie Pickett and Emory Pickett, both of Mount Airy; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Waltz Funeral Home on Liberty Road in Winfield from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Ira Conley, pastor of Taylorsville United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Taylorsville Cemetery
