He was born in Carroll County, a son of the late Jefferson D. and Mary Byers Hooper.
Surviving are a son, Fred T. Hooper of New Windsor; one sister, Mrs. Julia Franklin, of Taylorsville; and five brothers, Joseph Hooper of Taylorsville, Jesse Hooper and Frank Hooper of near Frederick; Jefferson Hooper of Westminster, and Arthur Hooper of Baltimore. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends called at the Waltz-Burrier Funeral HOme, Liberty Road, Winfield, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today. The Rev. Clifford C. McCormick, pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Sykesville, will officiate. Burial will be in Taylorsville Cemetery.
