Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Kleine Funeral Home Chapel with Father Thomas Ryan officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Kleine Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the Norman G. Bulin Memorial Fund (to be used in Special Organizations in the Grand Island Area).
Norman was born February 9, 1938, at Milligan, NE, the son of Steve and Mildred (Slepicka) Bulin. He received his education in the Elba and St. Paul area schools. On Dec. 12, 1955, he joined the U.S. Navy and served as an aircraft engineer apprentice receiving his honorable discharge on Dec. 11, 1961.
He married Delores Tuma on October 24, 1959, at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. They farmed with his parents in the St. Paul area and later moved to Long Beach, CA. After moving to Grand Island, he worked at
Redman Homes and also at the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant. He also worked for Bill Scarborough as a carpenter in the St. Paul area. He was a gifted building contractor and worked for Spelts Shultz. In addition he and his wife, Delores, opened their new business in 1974, known as Paradise Homes. While operating his business he also was the #1 installer for Sears. He was working for Sears and
Paradise Homes at the time of his death.
Norman was a member of the G.I. Saddle Club and throughout his life he spent much time hunting and fishing. Metal detecting, landscaping and working in his garden were also a pleasant past time for him. He was a skilled craftsman at woodworking and carpentry. Norman also enjoyed restoring Classic Cars, the latest of which was his 57 Chevy 2-door. A special dream and goal of his was
to become a member of the High Flyers. He had become acquainted with the members and the organization, and had just finished building his own model airplane. He loved to spend quality time with his family and friends, and loved
people and had an excellent sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife: Delores Bulin of Grand Island, three sons: Jeff (and wife Kathy) Bulin of Grand Island, Jason (and wife Stephanie) Bulin of Lincoln, NE, and Jerod Bulin of Austin, TX, one daughter: Tammie (and husband Robert) Clark of Quirindi, New South Wales, Australia, eight grandchildren: Jordan Bulin, Krissa Bulin, Ashley Hatch, Kolten Bulin, Kody Seymour, Mikayla Bulin, Nathan Clark and Erica Hatch, one sister: Rose Marie Coons of Carlsbad, CA.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra Lynn in 1982 and his parents.
