She was united in marriage to Harry Earl Fussell in 1909. To this union five children were born: Ben of Geneva, Gene W. (deceased), Mrs. Malverne D. (Burnice) Hubbard of Greenwich, Conn., Irvin of Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. Walter (Reva) Hubbard (Deceased). Mr. Fussell died in 1948.
She was the oldest of 12 children, eight of whom survive her. She also had 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She attended Peru State Normal and taught school for several years. She loved music and received much enjoyment from the piano which she played often until a month before her death.
Mrs. Fussell devoted much of her life in the service of her church and taught in the church school for more than 25 years. She spent the last eight years of her life at St. James House in Baytown, Tex., where she made many friends and enjoyed helping other residents of the home with their personal and spiritual needs.
She held membership in the Rebekah order for more than 50 years and was a past noble grand in Silver Link Rebekah lodge at Geneva.
Services were held in Boulevarde funeral home at Houston, Tex., and also at Farmer-Harris chapel in Geneva, Wednesday, March 29.
Rev. John Stayton officiated at the Geneva services. Mrs. Melvin Olson was organist. Serving as pallbearers were Barthold Hofferber, Francis Kimbrough, John Pittard, Cecil Richards, Jesse Richards and Duane Tatro. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
