Elizabeth “Elsie” Waradzyn Lenart

My Grand Aunt Elizabeth was born in the little town of Cerveny Klastor in Slovakia on the border with Poland. She was Baptized in Lechnica, Kežmarok, Slovakia, which at the time was part of Hungary. She was the eighth child of Joseph Jozef Waradzyn and Anna Majer. Her mother Anna Majer Waradzyn (1865-1908) is buried in Cerveny Klastor. It can not be added to F-A-G as the town is not in their database. The exact date of death and burial of her father Jozef is currently unknown. Elizabeth came to America in 1912, traveling by herself. She married Joseph Lenart on Valentine's Day, 14 February 1914, St John Cantius Church, Chicago. They had six children. Elizabeth is sister to my paternal Grandmother Anna Waradzyn Augustyn. They had several siblings in Slovakia, but Anna and Elizabeth are the only ones who came to America.
