RAY BRADFORD BISHOP, 48, of Abilene, Texas, husband of the former PAT RAPER, daughter of Mrs. EVERETT RAPER, former resident of Healdton, died of injuries received in an auto accident when his car struck a pecan tree Thursday of last week in Brownwood, Texas. Funeral services were held in Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene with CLEM THURMAN, minister, officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Memorial park directed by Elliott's Funeral Home of Abilene. Military services were held at the gravesite.

Born Sept. 26, 1918 in Shawnee, he married PATRICIA RUTH RAPER in Ardmore, May 2, 1947. They moved to Abilene from Colorado City, Texas, 15 years ago. Mr. Bishop served in the U. S. Army from 1942 to 1946 and was a staff sergeant. He worked in Abilene as a pipe fitter and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Association. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of the home in Abilene, one son, JAMES PATRICK BISHOP of Dallas, one daughter Mrs. SUSAN ROSE of Dallas and three sisters.
