Emitt Floyd Gold, 79, of Trenton died May 15. He was retired from American Lava/3M in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army and received a Silver Star. He was a minister of the Church of Christ serving congregations in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Gold was preceded in death by parents Charlie and Ruby Blackstock Gold and brother O.J. Gold. Survivors include wife Annie Gold, Trenton; daughters and sons-in-law Earlene and Rex Weeks, Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Shirley and Roger Holloway, Loganville, Vickie and Byron Holland, Chattanooga; son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Ronda Gold, Wildwood; brothers Henry Gold, Wildwood, Dale Gold, Bryant, Ala.; grandchildren William and Tim Weeks, Angel Drumon, Jerrad and Casey Holloway, Chris and Laura Gold; great-grandson Dakota Weeks; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held May 17 in Trenton Church of Christ with the minister Don Walker and the minister Bernard Keith officiating. Interment will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Arrangements were by Ryan Funeral Home in Trenton.
