Eugene Odeal Richardson, 87, of Bay St. Louis, MS passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2012 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Baskin, LA and a resident of Bay St. Louis, MS for the past 52 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Bay St. Louis. Eugene worked as Assistant Project Engineer with the MS State Highway Dept. for 28 years and was the owner of Richardson Land Survery. He was a good father, grandfather, & brother who will be sadly missed by his family & friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Evelyn Richardson, parents, Ervin & Emma Bailey, 2 brothers, Jerry Bailey & Claude Richardson and grandson, Brandon Gene Spiers.
He is survived by his son, Michael O. Richardson & his wife, Anna of Bay St. Louis, MS, daughter, Amelia Spiers & husband, Steven of McNeill, MS, 2 sisters, Josie Hamm of Crossett, AR & Viola Nielsen of Jigger, LA; 3 grandchildren, Guy Spiers & wife, Michelle of McNeill, MS, Michael O. Richardson, Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS, Samantha Richardson of New Orleans, LA, great-grand children, Dalton & Emma Spiers of McNeill, MS and numerous nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis, MS. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home with interment in Gulf Coast Memorial Cemetery in Bay St. Louis, MS.
