Joan Florence Banks, 89, were conducted on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel with Skip Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver City Memorial Park Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Denver City.
Joan died Monday, July 30, 2012 in Lubbock, Texas. She was born July 19, 1923 in Sydney Australia. She married W.R. Banks in Vancouver, Canada in November 1946.
They moved to Denver City in 1953. She retired from Yoakum County Hospital in the food service department. She was preceded in death by her husband W.R. Banks in 1993 and a daughter Margaret Ann Banks in 1949.
She is survived by two daughters, Bronwyn Shaw of Lubbock and Susan Baker and husband Ron of Arizona along with 5 grandchildren; Stephen Shaw, Kayla Davis, Vanessa Miller, Rachel Dugan and Adam Baker; Also 13 great-grandchildren.
