Mrs Bertha Ditty, 909 East Marietta street, died in St. Mary's hospital about 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon following a brief illness. The cause of her death was heart trouble.
Bertha Edwards was born in Strasburg on Aug 11, 1899. She married Jesse Ditty on Jan. 11, 1918.
She leaves her husband and four children: Veda Maxine, John Thomas, Charles Edward and Jesse Ditty, Jr.; her father, John Edwards of Decatur; three brothers, Charles H., Arthur M. and James T. Edwards, all of Detroit.
The family had lived in Decatur the past 11 years, coming here from Bement.
The body was removed to the Monson funeral chapel.
