Lorraine first married Joseph Marlow. He was killed at sea during World War II.

Joseph and Lorraine had a son, Joseph Marlow Jr.

Lorraine married Frederick Banta in 1947 never telling her son who his father was.

Joseph Jr was adopted by Fred Banta and wasn't told of his adoption until he married and required his "real" birth information.

Lorraine is probably buried with her second husband at Forest Hill Cemetery in Soldiers Grove, Crawford County, Wisconsin, but I've been unable to confirm that.
