Little Jessie Mae, the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Silsbee, of Canadian, passed away at the local hospital.
The child was taken ill about 2 o'clock in the morning and taken to the hospital about 10 o'clock when its condition became worse. Death was caused, it is thought, by summer complaint, followed with hemorrhage.
The Silsbees have been residents of Canadian since March 7th of 1944 and have been living in the Merrell cabins across the street from the Johnson grocery.
Besides the father, who is in service, and the mother, two other children survive.
