Barbara Abaunza wishes her daughter had looked deeper.

The mother of 15-year-old Lisa Abaunza, who was killed in a shooting Saturday, said her only child's greatest fault was believing that everyone was good at heart.

"I wish she was right, and I wish it worked like that," Barbara Abaunza said quietly in a phone interview Monday night. The periodic quakes in her voice shared emotion that was still fresh.

"I think she found good in people that were just fooling her," she said. "Because she was young, she found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time."

The wrong place Saturday was an apartment in Plymouth, where Lisa, along with Bradley James Swartwood, 21, and Nicolas Robert Maldonado, 17, both of 401 First St., Plymouth, were shot and killed. Another teen, Danny Maldonado II, 19, of the same address, was critically wounded in the shooting, which according to police reports took place during a drug exchange between Swartwood and Shawn James Hamilton, 18
