Mrs. Jessie Ewing Dies August 2nd In California
Miss Rena Reich has received the sad news of the death of her cousin, Mrs. Jessie Rutledge Ewing of Ingelwood, Calif.
Mrs. Ewing had worked as usual for the Southern California Gas Company on Friday July 29th and was found dead in her home by her aunt, Mrs. Nellie Rutledge Hardesty, early the morning of August 2nd.
Mrs. Ewing was born in Mt. Sterling the daughter of Martha Bixler and Orville Rutledge. She attended schools here and was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School. She was united in marriage with Glen Ewing, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son Donald of Long Beach, Calif., a daughter Mrs. Dorothy Medenwaldt of St. Paul, Minn., and six grandchildren. Mrs. Medenwaldt and family were enroute to California to visit her mother, when they were notified of her death.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 Friday afternoon, August 5th at Pierce Brothers Little Church Around the Corner and burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ingelwood.
