OBITUARY : Beulah Lucille Halliwell, 77, of 90 Greenwood Avenue, Rittman, Wayne County, Ohio died November 17, 1998 at Akron City Hospital. She was born July 26, 1921 in Sterling, Wayne County, Ohio, (corrected to read: Riverstyx, Montville Township, Medina County, Ohio) to Clarence Hickman and Matilda Woyat-Hickman.
She was a 1939 graduate of Sterling High School. She married Robert Allen Halliwell on 25 May 1940 in Sterling, Ohio. She was a volunteer and honorary member of the World Series of Golf. She retired as a volunteer of Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital in 1992 and was previously employed by Rawiga Country Club of Rittman and the United Farm Bureau Office in Medina. She was a member of the Rittman Methodist Church and several area clubs.
Surviving are son James of Columbus; sons and daughter-in-laws, Jerry and Barb Halliwell of Rittman, Jon and Laurie Halliwell of Creston; daughters and son-in-laws, Judy and David Graves of Rittman, Jane and Jay Lucco of Norton, and Joan and Rick Ramsier of Lawrenceville, Georgia; a brother, Clarence Hickman of California; sisters, Sue Chenevey of Smithville, Shirley Buss of Sterling, and Donna Uhler of Creston; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Allen Halliwell; sisters: Alice Edna Adams, Margaret Louise Hickman, and Darlene Buss; and grandson Robert Eugene Halliwell.
Services Friday at 11 a.m. from the Rittman United Methodist Church. Rev. F.D. Donaldson will officiate with burial in Rittman Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
