George A. Aberegg, 85, of Olney, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at Richland Memorial Hospital.

There will be no services. The body was cremated. Stasi-Grove Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Aberegg was born July 10, 1912, in Browns, the son of Loomis and Elsie Adeline (Pickett) Aberegg. He married Marjorie Comstock in 1963. She preceded him in death in 1994.

He was a WWII Navy veteran and a retired motorman with the Aurora Elgin Railroad. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion of Hot Springs, Ark.

He is survived by one half-brother, Robert Stone, of Olney, and two half-sisters, Florence Delaney, of Olney, and Doramae Staser, of Salem.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
