Lillie Apperson Zarpas, 94, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Inova Alexandria Hospital. Mrs. Zarpas was born and raised in Orange County, the daughter of the late Alonzo and Fidella Mason Apperson. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Constantine "Gus" Zarpas; two nieces, Alice Adams Bell and Hazel Wiltshire McLeod; and two nephews, James Adams and the Rev. Charles Donald Apperson.
Interment will be in the New Hope Baptist Church cemetery, Mine Run, at a later date.
