Rudolph Joseph Fousek was born in New York State, April 6, 1885, to Valcon and Anna (Vasmucius) Fousek. While still a young man the family moved to North Dakota and engaged in farming.

In 1925 he was united in marriage to Ida P. Lynne, and in 1926 moved to the Lynne farm east of Boyd, Minnesota.

In 1935 he started a business in Boyd and continued with it until hospitalized May 27, 1953, at Montevideo, Minnesota, where he passed away June 30, 1953, at the age of 68 years.

To this union eight children were born. They are Marcella (Mrs. Harold Sumner), Doris (Mrs. Frederic Ashling), Dorothy (Mrs. Harris Lee), Claire (Mrs. Loren Ashling), all of Dawson, Minnesota, And Robert, Ina, Gloria and Judith at home.

All the children, his wife, eight grandchildren, four brothers: Joe of Kensal, North Dakota, Albert of Cooperstown, North Dakota, and William of Rosmond, California; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Knorr of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Anna Vlack of Juanita, North Dakota; several nieces and nephews survive his passing.

His parents and a nephew, Floyd Fousek, are the only ones to precede him in death.
