Isaac Bradrick (Broadrick in the cemetery records) is the third and final child of William and Esther Broderick. He enlisted in the military and fought for some months in the War of 1812, for which he received a pension of $8.00 per month. He also rec'd a land grant of 160 acres, which was never located. Isaac married Lydia Burdsall in Burlington, NJ on April 19, 1817. They migrated by horse-drawn wagon to Belmont Co., Ohio in 1819 and then later to Trimble Township in Athens Co. where they raised eight children, Mary, William, Elijah, Esther, Isaiah, Isaac, Thomas, and Edmund. Isaac and Lydia, who were important members of the early Methodist Church of Bishopville, OH, Morgan County, are buried in the Cary-Lewis (Ferndale) Cemetery in Homer Township, OH.

To find the marker, enter through the cemetery gate and go straight to the back. It will be leaning on one of the few trees in that area.
