MollieAlred Mollie Mary Edda Phelps Alred, 96, Orem, passed away November 7, 2002, in Provo. She was born March 12, 1906, in Fillmore, UT to Thomas and Clare Phelps. She mar-ried Ezra Wayne Alred Dec 11, 1927. Mollie was a devoted wife and working com-panion to Wayne. She helped earn his M.D. degree from the University of Utah in 1946, and they moved to Orem, UT in May of that year. She served as office secretary and nurse throughout his medical practice. She was an active member of the Christian Science Church. She loved gardening and traveling, and she and the doctor were fortunate to have traveled worldwide. Survivors include her son, Robert W. Alred, American Fork, UT; two grand-children, Chandra Nielson, Springville, UT, Thayne (Kathy) Alred, Medina, OH; five great-grandchildren, Stefanie Nielson, Mandy (Mark) Thomas, Nicholas Val Nielson, Kaylie Alred, Ian Alred, and one great great-grandchild, Alex Thomas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. E. Wayne Alred, daughter-in-law, Betty Alred; and grandson-in-law, Val B. Nielson. Services will be Tues. Nov 12, 2002, 2 p.m. Cascade Chapel, Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 S. State St, Orem. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery..
