Walton is survived by his wife, Nettie Potter Beasley Price; three step-children, Terry Beasley of LaGrange, NC, Ned Beasley of Rural Hall, NC, and Tamela Beasley Rouse of Rocky Point, NC; four step-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Walton was born to the late William Parks Price and Mary Southerland Price. He attended Zion United Methodist Church and worked for the Wayne County Landfill. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
His funeral was officiated by Rev. Mike Grady and Rev. Walter Gaskins. Honorary Pallbearers were mary Walton Whitfield, Lynette Brock, Denise Brinson, Dean Johnson, Trudy Shivar, Louise Hill, Annie Phillips, and Sylvia Creel. Special music was sung by Maria Wiggins and played by Freddie Stroud.
U.S. Army Color Guard was present at the graveside.
