Born in Charleston on April 7, 1927, Virginia was a lifelong homemaker.
She was the daughter of the late William Cunningham and Helen Pyles; wife of the late James H. Reese; and mother of the late Mark Wayne Reese.
Virginia adored her family and was always there with helping advice and loving support. She strongly believed in animal rights and supported local and national organizations for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Putnam Humane Society.
She will be terribly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Thursday, February 19, at Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, followed by a tribute to the life of Virginia in Mount Olive Cemetery, Hurricane, with Pastor Phil Lewis, officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.
