He was united in marriage to Bertha Alice Buchanan on April 17, 1905, at the M.E. Church in Oneida, Iowa. She preceded him in death in 1931. To them were born two children: Donald William and Dorothy Maurine (Mrs. William A. Rote).
Mr. Dodge had been a cement contractor in Oelwein for many years and lived in the community for 50 years or more.
Services were held at the Brant funeral chapel Dec. 12, 1958, at 2:00 P.M. with Dr. M.B. Green of Grace Methodist Church officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery.
