MRS. LELAH VOGT, CIVIC WORKER, DIES

Mrs. Lelah Vogt, 68, active worker in civic affairs and a resident of Grand Rapids more than 50 years, died Monday morning.

Mrs. Vogt died after a short illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald W. Steketee, 2910 Bonnell rd., SE. Mrs. Vogt had lived at Oakwood Manor.

She was the widow of Englebert J. Vogt, president of KNAPE and VOGT MANUFACTURING COMPANY, who died in 1931. Mrs. Vogt attended St. Mark's cathedral and was a member of the board of directors of the Kent county Association for the Blind, The Diet Kitchen guild of Butterworth hospital, Kent Country club and Women's City club.

Other survivors include a son, Frederick J. Vogt; three grand-daughters, two grandsons and a nephew. Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the home of the son, 2805 Bonnell rd., East Grand Rapids, with Dean H. Ralph Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Graceland mausoleum.
