Lieutenant Kerchival Hundley was a member of the law firm of Hundley and Hawthorn of Alexandria prior to WWI. A few days after the declaration of war against Germany, he volunteered for service and was sent to the first officers training school at Fort Logan H. Roots, Ark. where he won his spurs and later went to France.

K. "Nick" Hundley, age 62, a prominent Alexandria attorney, died of a heart attack on Nov 24 (Thursday morning) while duck hunting near Creole.

A graduate of Centennary college, and the LSU school of law, Hundley started practicing law in Alexadria in 1912. He was a native of Columbia, Caldwell Parish, Louisiana.

Hundley was serving as chairman of the federal practice committee of the Alexandria Bar Association at the time of his death. He was a former state judge advocate of the VFW, and was a Master Mason.

He was survived by his widow Gladys, and a sister, Mrs. C.V. Breithaupt, of Phoenix, Ariz.

Funeral services were held Friday morning November 25 from Hixson Brothers Funeral Chapel, with internment in Greenwood Park, Pineville.

He was a brother of the late Judge Allen V. Hundley who also served in WWI.
