He was married to Mollie Bomar who preceded him in death May 21, 1975. A member of Samford Church of Christ, he was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War I.
Services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at Samford Church of Christ. Mr. Jim Franks officiated.
Mr. Bomar leaves four daughters: Rudie Lacer of Steele; Maxine Hoffman, Piggott; Peggy Hatley, Memphis; and Roberta Erwin, Byron, Mich.; one son, Gene Bomar of Piggott; one sister, Etalka Sterling of East Prairie; one brother, Dallas Bomar, Detroit; 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were grandsons: Byron Hatley, Randy Erwin, R.L. Ross, Greg Bomar, Roger Lacer, Gerald Ross. Also serving as pallbearer was William Waldrop.
