Eliza's story is curious as it seems she might have been married to two men at the same time, Pardon Miller and Asa Puffer, bearing 3 children with each.
Her oldest child is Marshall M. Miller, born in March, 1826, Le Ray, NY. He was a decorated Civil War Soldier (1Sgt) who participated in several battles, the last at Petersburg, VA.
Her 2nd oldest child (according to records) is Amelia J. Puffer, born Dec 1827, Jefferson County, NY (#228755963).
Her 3rd oldest child is Amanda F. Miller, born ca 1830, Watertown, NY. (#62713140)
Her 4th oldest child is Ferdinand B. Miller, b. 9 Apr 1833, Jefferson County, NY.
Her 5th oldest child is Fannie E. Puffer, b. ca 1836, Jefferson County, NY.
Her 6th child is Daniel Puffer, b. ca 1837, Jefferson County, NY.
How to explain this? The only logical explanations is that there might have been two Elizas, one's last name lost to history.
