Carole Jane (Loebel) Garner was born November 3, 1936 in Eureka and died February 8, 1965 at Greenwood County Hospital after a long illness.
She graduated from Eureka High School in 1954. On August 9, 1959, she was married to Darrel Garner of Fredonia.
She was a member of the Eureka Assembly of Rainbow for Girls in high school. Following graduation, she was employed as a secretary for "Forbes and Forbes", Eureka; Phillips Petroleum Company, Eureka and Bartlesville; the county attorney, Fredonia; and Kenneth Rockhill, attorney, Eureka. She was a member of the Eureka Christian Church.
Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Leobel, of the home; a sister, Mrs. Dale (Marilyn) Culbertson, of Eureka; two brothers, Dale E. Loebel of the home, and R. William Loebel of Wichita; her son, John Robert age 3 1/2 years; two nephews and one niece.
The funeral was conducted Wednesday, February 10, at 2:00 p.m. from the First Christian Church, Eureka, with the Reverend Russell E. Money officiating. Music was by Mrs. Leo Lewis and Mrs. George McMullen. Burial was in Greenwood cemetery, Baird funeral Home was in charge of the services.
A memorial has been established for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation t the Home national Bank.
