Wm. Armstrong, a resident of Carbondale and vicinity for many years and formerly one of the board of highway commissioners and a justice of the peace, Carbondale twp. died about 2 o'clock this morning at his home on West College Street. He was a member of the local Odd Fellows Lodge. He had been in poor health for the past year, death being due to dropsy. The funeral will be held Sunday. Monday burial at the Hiller Cemetery, southwest of town. Mr. Armstrong is survived by a wife (Susan Greathouse) and four children, two daughters and two sons. Mrs. Will Nelson, of Wolf Creek, Mrs. J.T. Turner, Ben H. Armstrong, and Gate Armstrong all of this vicinity.
