SERVICES HELD LAST SUNDAY
Funeral services for John Frederick Hoult, 43, who died at the John McDonald hospital Friday following an illness of several months of heart trouble, were held Sunday afternoon at the Goettsch funeral home. The Rev. F.H. Kehren, Lutheran minister of Wayne Zion church, officiated. Burial was made in Oakwood cemetery.
Hoult was born in Monticello Nov. 21, 1901, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Hoult. He attended the Monticello public schools and thereafter started a pre-medic course at the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
He was later married to Edna Folkers, who survives him, together with three children, Betty Joan, Roma Lee and Jeane Helen. He is also survived by a brother, George Hoult of Monticello; two sisters Mrs. Glenn Eilers of Hopkinton and Mrs. May Smith of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Hoult was a member of Burns lodge, No. 173 A.F. and A.M. of Monticello and had been an active and successful farmer in Wayne Township since his marriage.
