FARMER DIES OF INJURIES

William Yotter, Oakville, Fatally Hurt in Corn Field Accident

William Yotter, 61, was fatally injured at 2:30 Thursday afternoon while hauling corn on his farm near Oakville.
Returning from the field with a full load of corn, Yotter fell from the wagon when the endate came loose causing him to lose his balance. He fell behind the horses frightening them into a run and the wagon passed over his body.
Brought to the Burlington hospital, he died at 6:30 p.m.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Edith Yotter, a brother, Ed, of Oakville who farmed with him and who was in charge of the husking machine at the time of the accident, and one sister, Mrs. Sadle Sperry, of Corvallis, Mont. His parents and one sister, Mrs. Lena Cram preceded him in death.
Born on the farm on which he was injured, Yotter had lived his entire lifetime in that vacinity and was a member of the Oakville Methodist church.
The body is at the Carter funeral home in Oakville. Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed this afternoon.
