MRS. CORA WILLIAMS
Wapello -- Services are to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dugen-McCulley Funeral Home for Mrs. Cora Estella Williams, 84, who died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Thompson, at Beaumont, Tex. Interment will be at the Edwards cemetery, near Oakville.
Mrs. Williams had spent most of her life in the Oakville area. She was born Jan. 1, 1874, in Louisa county, the daughter of Everett and Mary Igle Gates. Her marriage to John Wilson Williams took place Oct. 16, 1895, and his death occurred in 1921.
Surviving are two sons, Everett, Kansas City, Mo., and Raymond, Port Arthur, Tex.; the daughter in Texas; one sister, Mrs. Corda Waterhouse, Oakville; three half-sisters, Mrs. Lillian Charbonneaux, Burlington, Mrs. Eugista Masterson, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Marcella Erwin, Wapello; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
