Kathy A. Lajoie, 51, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011.

She was born July 23, 1960, in Alexandria, La., the daughter of Richard and Viviane (Valade) Lajoie.

Kathy enjoyed needlepoint, cross stitch, swimming, and beating her father at a game of miniature golf. She lived with her parents, and was a great help in taking care of her mother. Kathy loved to dine out with her dad at various italian restaurants.

She is survived by her loving family including her father, Richard Lajoie; brothers, Steven Lajoie and Kevin Lajoie; sister-in-law, Melinda Lajoie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Viviane in 2009.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home 9400 Indian Springs Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
