Ethan Grey Somedy was born on September 21, 1964 in San Bernardino, California, to John Edward and Judith Elaine (Abbott) Somedy. The family moved to Scotts Valley, in Santa Cruz County, California when he was young and he grew up there as an only child. Ethan earned his BA in Physics and worked as a Civil Engineer at the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, in Vallejo, California, until it's closure in 1996. He later worked as a Smog Tech in Scotts Valley.
Ethan was a vibrant, intelligent guy, very animated and full of fun, and he had aquired many skills during his lifetime. Ethan enriched the lives of all of those who were close to him, and he will be missed very much.
Ethan is survived by his only daughter, Miranda Roisin White, of Boulder Creek, California, and her family, Cindy, Eli, and Meghan White, also of Boulder Creek, and Savannah Jhee, of Capitola, California. He is also survived by his Aunt Bonnie Somedy, of Baja, Mexico; and two cousins, Nicole and Marissa White.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy (Abbott) Somedy, in 2008, and his father, John Edward Somedy, in 2010.
