ORA VIRGINIA MASSEY SIMPER

Virginia was born and raised in Vernal, Utah. She married Lee Earl Elsea on September 14, 1940. They had two children before he died in 1943.

Before her marriage to Earl, Virginia had dated Orin Simper. When he came back from the service they started dating again. Ora's two children, too young when their father died to even remember him, chose to use the Simper name.

The family lived in Nevada, Idaho, Oregon and Wyoming. Orin was a truck driver; a good one. He never wrecked a truck and received safe driving pins from P.I.E. Until five weeks before his death, Orin continued working, although he had to fly from Casper, Wyoming to Salt Lake City every six weeks for cancer treatments.

Virginia has been a rock hound and collected many Indian artifacts through the years. She has given her collection to her son. Virginia wss residing in Roosevelt, Utah.

Born in Vernal, Utah, on August 16, 1923 to Sewell Massey and Ora Pope Massey. Ora Virginia married Lee Earl Elsea. He passed way on October 18, 1943. He left a a two-year-old son, Earl Boyd Elsea, and a four-months old daughter, Carolyn Sewell Elsea when he died.

She married Orin Marr Simper on September 17, 1945. She passed away on 24 Jan 1986 in Roosevelt, Duchesne, Utah
