Opie Missildine, 88, of Simms, Texas, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at her home. Mrs. Missildine was born June 21, 1916. She was retired from Day & Zimmermann and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Simms. Survivors include her husband, Hubert Missildine of Simms; one son, Hulen Missildine of Idabel, Okla.; three daughters, Betty Fleet and Leta Gowan of Simms and Martha Budd Weaver of Maud, Texas; three brothers, J.C. Jennings of Daingerfield, Texas, Leonard Jennings of Henderson, Texas, and Minard Jennings of Vivian, La.; one sister, Daisy Foster of Simms; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, Simms, with the Revs. Tim Sullivan and Millidge Oglesby officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery under direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
