Services for Lester Lee "Pete" Hoskins, 91, of Malakoff are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, Malakoff with Rev. Nathan Lorick and Rev. Edwin McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Malakoff Cemetery, under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.

Mr. Hoskins died July 28, 2012 in Malakoff.

He was born December 6, 1920 in Malakoff to the late Sam and Maude Ellis Hoskins and was a resident of Malakoff most of his life.

He was a graduate of Malakoff High School, and retired from Getty Oil Company after a 29 year tenure. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Malakoff and the Malakoff Lions Club. He was a Cattleman and Rancher, was an avid gardener, loved to travel, and was a lifetime member of East Texas Arboretum and Botanical Society. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Army from 1942 to 1946.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Joyce Allen Hoskins, 2001, brother, Lonnie Dale Hoskins, and a sister, Dena Merle Withrow.

Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Hoskins, Malakoff, Vicki Wilson and husband Gregg, Duncanville, granddaughters, Rachel Adams and husband Kenneth, Amanda Taylor and husband Ron, four great grandchildren, Noah Lee Adams, Emerson Roger Adams, Drake Matthew Taylor, and Riley Brooke Taylor, numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be Howard Hoskins, Danny Perkins, Jerry Stone, Barry Allen, Kenneth Adams, and Ron Taylor.
