Maxine J. Mann, 96, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2012 at the Inwood Hills Estates, South Bend. Mrs. Mann was born on July 18, 1916 in South Bend to the late Leo and Pearl M. (Kieffer) Edison. She has remained a lifelong resident of South Bend. Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her husband, Glenmore A. Mann on May 6, 1973, and her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Mann. Also preceding in death were three sisters and one brother, Marguerite Smith, Mildred Wolfe, Evelyn Benn and Leo R. Edison, Sr.

Mrs. Mann is survived by her two sons, Robert (Heidi) Mann of Pleasanton, CA and Roger (Deanna) Mann of Covina, CA; four grandchildren, Lori (Steve) Holewinski, Rob (Margaret Kelly) Mann, Stephanie Mann, and Andrew Mann; five great grandchildren, Shelly and John Holewinski, and Benjamin, Ethan, and Nicholas Mann. Mrs Mann is also survived by and was loved by her four nieces and three nephews; Leota Monroe, Leona Browning, Carol Smith, Joan Scheer, Leo Edison, Jr., Gene Benn, and Bruce Benn.

Mrs. Mann has been a longtime member of the Faith United Methodist Church, South Bend. She was a member of the Progress Club, active with the Republican Women, and a graduate of Riley High School.
