Steven Sturtevant
Steven "Cy" Sturtevant, 76, of Buhl, and formerly of Nampa, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 1991, at an Ely, Nev., hospital of natural causes. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. The Rev. Robert W. Pitts of the Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Services are under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mr. Sturtevant was born Dec. 1, 1914, at Howard, S.D., to Joel and Ann Crane Sturtevant. He was reared and educated in South Dakota. After his schooling he farmed for awhile. He later moved to Nampa. He married Oda McGhee Kuhn, Nov. 16, 1965, at Elko, Nev. In 1968 they moved to Santa Cruz, Calif. In 1970 they moved to Wendell, Idaho, where they owned and operated a restaurant and a dress shop. He retired in 1976. In 1980 they returned to Nampa. In July 1990 they moved to Buhl where they had since resided. Since 1982 they had spent winters in Quartzsite, Ariz.
He is survived by his wife, Oda of Buhl; two stepsons, James Kulm of Boise and Robert Kulm of Idaho Falls; a brother, Leon Sturtevant of Caldwell; two sisters, Fern Flynn of Nampa and Sarah Haber of Portland; two grandchildren, James Kulm Jr. and Tina Marie Kuhn. both of Boise.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Ron, in 1985.
