Services for John Carle, 84, West Point, formerly of Stanton, will be 10 am Tuesday at the Schultz-Vogel Mortuary in Stanton. The Rev. Larry Woodcock will officiate and burial will be in the Stanton Cemetery.
The body will like in state Monday, 3-9 pm at the mortuary.
Born May 21, 1893, at Woodbury, IA to Mr. and Mrs. David Carle, he died Thursday at the Oakland Hospital. He was a retired butcher.
Surviving are three sons, Emil of Van Nuys, CA, Louis of Lyons and Dewey of Lacombe, CA.; six daughters, Mrs. Bertha Coley, Mrs. Patricia Wickert and Grace Coley all of Bremertown, WA, Mrs. Vernice Keller of Omaha, Mrs. Flora Lattman of Spring Valley, CA and Mrs. Jenevieve Cauley of Albany, GA; one brother, Roy of Stanton; two sisters, 25 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers, one sister and two grandchildren.
